Police are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Barnsley left a woman seriously injured.It happened just after midnight on the 20th of September on Peel Parade in Barnsley town centre. A motorcyclist is reported to have collided with a woman in her twenties, who was taken to hospital with a broken neck.The rider left the scene before officers arrived. Police have since released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify.

He is described as being in his late teens to early twenties and of slim build.Anyone who recognises the man, saw the incident, or has relevant footage, is asked to contact police online, via live chat, or by calling 101, quoting incident number 18 of 20 September 2025.
