Motorcyclists from across Barnsley will take to the roads this weekend for the annual charity ride in support of Barnsley Hospice.
The event, taking place on Saturday 16 August, is organised by a group of local riders from the Wombwell area. Participants will gather at the Barley Sheaf pub on Aldham House Lane, Wombwell, before setting off at 11am on their popular “ride-out.” The route will end at the Lundhill Tavern, where there will be food, entertainment, and activities to round off the day.
Last year’s ride raised hundreds of pounds for Barnsley Hospice, which provides specialist palliative care and support to patients and families in the borough. Organisers are hoping to build on that success this year.
The event is open to riders and spectators alike. Those wishing to take part in the ride can contact organiser Lee on 07962 188856 for more details. Spectators are encouraged to show their support by waving to riders along the route or joining the celebrations at the finish line.
Barnsley Hospice’s fundraising team has thanked the organisers and participants for their continued support.
