Barnsley Youth Choir (BYC), one of the world’s leading youth choir organisations, is offering young people across the borough a chance to join its award-winning ensembles from September 2025.
With choirs based in Barnsley town centre, Penistone, The Dearne, and Hoyland, BYC welcomes anyone aged 0 to 24 to be part of this inspiring musical community. The organisation is widely recognised for its exceptional musical standards, life-changing experiences, and commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
Led by a team of highly qualified and experienced music professionals, BYC offers members the chance to:
- Perform in world-renowned venues
- Work with international vocal coaches and conductors
- Sing alongside top choirs from around the globe
- Build lasting friendships in a supportive and friendly environment
- Grow in confidence, skill, and creativity
Fees are kept as low as possible, and bursaries are available to ensure cost is never a barrier to participation.
