People across Barnsley are being urged to share their views on safety in the town as part of the Community Safety Survey 2025 — a new initiative aimed at tackling concerns around crime and anti-social behaviour after dark.
The survey asks an important question: Do you feel safe at night time or on a night out in your local area? Whether it’s while walking home, heading out for the evening, or simply spending time in your community after dark, your experience can help shape a safer Barnsley.
Organisers say the survey takes just 10 minutes to complete and will play a vital role in helping authorities understand where improvements are needed.
The results of the survey will inform targeted action plans and investment in safety measures across the borough. From improving street lighting to tackling disruptive behaviour and supporting vulnerable residents, your input can lead to real change.
