Tomorrow (16 August), 24 members of Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support (BIADS) will set out on a 7-mile walk to raise funds for the charity’s work with people affected by dementia.
The walkers, made up of BIADS supporters, will take on the challenge to help the organisation continue providing a safe and welcoming space for its members, as well as to expand its reach within the community.
The event has received backing from Wheels & Walkers Café, which has offered support to the participants ahead of the challenge.
BIADS has set up a JustGiving page for those wishing to contribute. Donations will go towards sustaining the charity’s services and activities for people living with dementia and their families.
