Barnsley Council has announced plans for further improvements to Penistone Town Hall, home of the Penistone Paramount cinema. Proposals include creating a second screen, which would allow two films to be shown at the same time and expand the range of screenings on offer.
The public areas are also set for refurbishment, with work intended to retain the building’s historic features, including its stained-glass roof light in the café and bar. The project is being developed in partnership with Penistone Town Council, which operates the venue. Any changes remain subject to planning permission and funding approval.
