Barnsley Football Club will be shining a spotlight on Yorkshire Air Ambulance this weekend as the life-saving charity joins the matchday line-up at Oakwell.

Ahead of the Reds’ Championship fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, supporters will be able to meet members of the charity’s team outside the stadium. Visitors can explore Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s promotional vehicle, which features interactive displays and powerful videos demonstrating the importance of effective CPR — a skill that can mean the difference between life and death.

Fans will also be encouraged to try out CPR techniques themselves in front of the display, with trained volunteers on hand to guide them. The charity’s much-loved mascot will make a special appearance, helping to engage younger fans and families.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance volunteers will be carrying out a bucket collection around Oakwell, with every donation directly supporting the running costs of the service. Operating two helicopters and responding to incidents across the region, the charity provides rapid medical care to those who need it most, often in remote or difficult-to-reach locations.

Barnsley FC are encouraging supporters to stop by, get involved, and show their appreciation for the vital work carried out by Yorkshire Air Ambulance every single day.
