Footage from inside a house where 84 dogs and two cats were rescued has been released after children's social worker David Parkes was found guilty of three animal welfare offences at Barnsley Magistrates' Court. His wife Delphine Parkes and son Sam Parkes had previously pleaded guilty.
The animals, mainly springer spaniel-type dogs along with Patterdale terriers and two cats, were found in filthy conditions at a property in Tickhill, near Doncaster, in April 2025.
The RSPCA said many animals were dirty, underweight or suffering from untreated health problems. One spaniel had to be put to sleep, but the remaining surviving animals have since been rehomed.
The three defendants are due to be sentenced at Doncaster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 9 December.
