Reyt Good Tunes — all day long, 24 hours a day. The home of Daryl Denham, Howard Pressman and Scottie McClue.
Our story
Radio Essentials is the truly local commercial radio station for Barnsley, Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster — on air since February 2023 and part of the Essentials digital network, alongside Barnsley Essentials and Sheffield Essentials.
Our mission is simple: to save local radio. While national broadcasters close local shows, we're investing in local voices, local pride and local stories — Essential News, the Essential Event Guide and Essential Traffic & Travel, every day.
We play Reyt Good Tunes all day long: the biggest hits from the 70s to today, plus the artists who put our region on the map — Def Leppard, Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, The Human League, ABC, Heaven 17 and Reverend & The Makers.
