Sheffield United has started the 2026/27
Championship season with a 2-1 defeat to Stoke City, marking only two wins from their first eight games.
The team is currently 18th in the table, four points above the relegation zone, but only four points off the play-off places. Former Sheffield United striker Dean Saunders believes it is too early for the team to panic, citing the tight competition within the league. He also criticises manager Chris Wilder's ability to create a winning formula, noting that he is struggling with limited spending power to replace key players.
Saunders believes that Wilder knows how to make his team difficult to play against and that it's too early to judge anyone.
