An inquest has opened into the death of Maria Skopova, a baby girl found dead in an outhouse in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The inquest heard that she had only just been born.
The baby was found with 33 wounds from 15 separate stab wounds and died on the day of her birth.
Two men and two women are due to stand trial in April accused of murdering Maria, and a 15-year-old girl is also being charged with perverting the course of justice by cleaning the scene of the alleged crime.
The coroner has adjourned the inquest until March 25 while ongoing criminal proceedings take place.
