MiCard travel could be withdrawn over anti-social behaviour
Young people involved in trouble at Barnsley Interchange risk losing their free bus travel.
Young people involved in anti-social behaviour risk having their free MiCard travel withdrawn, following recent trouble at Barnsley Interchange.
MiCard gives eligible Barnsley residents aged 5 to 18 free bus travel across South Yorkshire when their journey starts or finishes within the Barnsley borough.
Scheme rules allow administrators to withdraw a card if someone abuses the scheme through anti-social behaviour or breaking its rules.
This does not mean everybody using MiCard is affected. It is aimed specifically at people involved in trouble.
The warning follows incidents at the interchange, including disorder in August which resulted in arrests.
