A total of £591,826 is being awarded to 34 community organisations across South Yorkshire to deliver initiatives aimed at preventing and reducing violence.
The projects include work tackling knife crime, violence against women and girls, youth violence and criminal exploitation.
The funding will also support mentoring, diversionary activities and projects working directly with young people at risk of becoming involved in violence.
Representatives from organisations receiving funding are gathering in Sheffield on Tuesday 6 October, with the awards due to be made at the Sandman Signature Hotel at Victoria Quays.
The money is intended to support community-based projects working directly with people and areas affected by violence.
