Rotherham Council's Cabinet is being asked to approve plans for a dedicated accommodation hub for women experiencing or at risk of rough sleeping. The women-only service is planned to open in October 2027 and would offer safe accommodation alongside trauma-informed on-site support.
The council says women sleeping rough are currently often placed in hotels or bed and breakfasts where specialist support is limited. The proposed hub forms part of a wider programme aimed at improving homelessness and rough-sleeping services across the borough.
