A Rotherham man already accused of murdering former Conservative minister and Reform UK spokesperson Ann Widdecombe has now been charged with preparation of terrorist acts.
Joshua Kerry, 28, of Byrley Road, is accused of carrying out preparatory activity between 31 May 2024 and 8 July 2026. Counter Terrorism Policing and the Crown Prosecution Service say the alleged activity included preparation of acts of terrorism against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage MP.
Kerry is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 7 October. He has previously been charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of Ann Widdecombe.
These are allegations. Proceedings are active and Kerry has not been convicted of the terrorism or murder charges.
