A Rotherham man charged with preparing acts of terrorism is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 7 October.
Joshua Kerry, 28, of Byrley Road, is accused of engaging in conduct in preparation of acts of terrorism.
Counter Terrorism Policing says the alleged activity included preparations against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage MP.
The charge relates to alleged conduct between 31 May 2024 and 8 July 2026.
Kerry has also separately been charged with the murder of former minister and Reform UK spokeswoman Ann Widdecombe. That murder case is a separate set of criminal proceedings.
Counter Terrorism Policing has described the investigation as intensive and complex, involving detectives, analysts and forensic experts.
These are allegations. Proceedings are active and Kerry has not been convicted of either charge. Nothing should be said or published which could prejudice his right to a fair trial.
