A total of 119 applications requesting more than £2 million were made to the fund, with 34 organisations successful.
One of those is Rotherham United for Safety and Harmony - RUSH House, which will receive £19,779.92 to deliver a 12-month prevention and mentoring programme.
The project will work with 20 vulnerable young men aged 12-18 in Rotherham who are disengaged from, or struggling with, education, training or employment.
The aim is to provide mentoring and support before problems escalate into violence or exploitation.
Representatives from the organisations receiving funding are gathering in Sheffield on Tuesday 6 October.
The funding is intended to support community-led projects working directly with people at risk of becoming involved in violence or exploitation.
The money comes from the South Yorkshire Violence Prevention Partnership and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
