A Sheffield man has been jailed for 20 years after being convicted of repeatedly raping and abusing a woman.
Farman Ali, 28, was convicted of 11 offences, including six counts of rape. South Yorkshire Police says the offending took place over a six-month period between 2024 and 2025.
The victim reported what had happened in January 2025 and continued with the case despite threats aimed at making her withdraw the allegations.
Two women connected to the abuse were also sentenced. Zarina Zarina, 60, and Saadia Mohammad, 43, were each jailed for three years and two months after previously pleading guilty to offences. Victims of sexual offences are legally entitled to lifelong anonymity.
