Winter opening hours begin at Barnsley recycling centres

Barnsley's household waste recycling centres move onto their winter opening hours from today.

Standard winter hours are 9am to 4pm at Goldthorpe, Penistone and Smithies, and 8am to 4pm at Worsbrough.

Improvement works mean temporary closures and changes are affecting some sites, with dates being updated as work progresses.

Residents are being advised to check their chosen site is open before travelling. You will still need either a recycling-centre pass or a booking where required.
