From the people who brought you "The Cat and the Canary", Wombwell Thespians return with their final play as part of their centenary celebrations, and the South Yorkshire Amateur Premiere of "2:22 - A Ghost Story" by Danny Robins. “There’s something in our house. I hear it every night, at the same time” Jenny believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren and new partner Ben. Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer, so they’re going to stay up… until 2:22… and then they’ll know. Winner of Best New Play at the “WhatsOnStage” Awards, this supernatural thriller is written by Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcasts “Uncanny” and “The Battersea Poltergeist”, it has featured a host of acclaimed star performances (including Lily Allen, Cheryl, Stacey Dooley, Tom Felton, Jake Wood and James Buckley). It’s a brilliantly funny and adrenaline-filled night where secrets emerge and ghosts may or may not appear… What do you believe? And do you dare discover the truth? 2:22 - A Ghost Story will be performed at the Playhouse Theatre, Wombwell from the 22nd-24th October (7:30pm). Please note the show is recommended for 12+ and contains strong language and elements of horror. Please also note the theatre is not wheelchair accessible. The question is, do you dare to book?

FLEISCH is an independent UK industrial metal band formed in 2012 in Northamptonshire. Originally started as a bedroom solo project by frontman Jonathan Blunsdon, the group has grown into a hard-hitting three-piece band heavily inspired by German Neue Deutsche Härte bands like Rammstein and Eisbrecher, blended with 1980s synth melodies reminiscent of Depeche Mode The band is well known for high-energy live music, visceral production, and dark, alternative visual aesthetics that include latex, kinky imagery, and heavy electronic sequencing. They previously launched a public campaign to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest to champion heavy music and independent artists. Joined By Rillington Place a Soild Band bringing new sounds to Nu-Metal! Rillington Place are an alternative metal band emerging from West Yorkshire, bringing a potent blend of groove-driven heaviness and dark atmospheric presence to the UK underground scene. Rather than relying on speed or excess, the band focus on controlled, impactful compositions that hit with purpose. Their sound sits firmly within the modern metal landscape, combining elements of alternative metal and groove metal with a darker tonal identity. Built around thick guitar work, tight rhythmic structures, and a brooding sonic palette, Rillington Place prioritise feel, weight, and atmosphere in equal measure. Along with Bang Bang Firecracker! Bang Bang Firecracker is a hardworking three, piece heavy metal and hard rock band hailing from Stoke-on-Trent. Formed in 2018 by frontman Kieron Berry after his time touring with W.A.S.P. co-founder Chris Holmes, the band has built a fierce reputation in the UK metal underground for their aggressive, old-school riffs, thunderous rhythm section, and high-octane live shows.
