Barnsley-born England defender John Stones has received four penalty points after admitting a speeding offence.
The former Penistone Grammar pupil was caught driving at 43mph in a 30mph zone in Cheshire.
A court also ordered Stones to pay a total of £1,052 in fines, costs and charges.
The court heard he had admitted being the driver but missed later correspondence while away with England at the World Cup before subsequently completing a move to Inter Milan.
