Barnsley FC chief executive Jon Flatman to leave for Cardiff Rugby

Barnsley FC chief executive Jon Flatman is to leave Oakwell after being appointed chief executive of Cardiff Rugby.

Cardiff Rugby announced that Flatman will join the club in January following a competitive recruitment process.

Flatman joined Barnsley in 2023 as chief revenue officer and later became chief executive. Cardiff says his time at Oakwell has included work on commercial growth and long-term stadium agreements.

He will take charge at Cardiff as the rugby club works on its future ownership and long-term plans for Cardiff Arms Park.
