A fresh contract dispute has flared at Barnsley Hospital.
GMB says almost 200 workers, including nurses, radiographers and frontline care staff, face dismissal and re-engagement if they reject proposed changes involving paid and unpaid breaks. The union says the changes would mean some staff spending longer at work without additional pay and it is considering legal, industrial and political action.
A separate dispute involving maternity staff represented by the Royal College of Midwives was resolved last month, but the latest GMB dispute remains ongoing.
