Barnsley's on-loan goalkeeper Cieran Slicker is moving closer to a return to action as he continues his recovery from injury.
The Scotland goalkeeper joined the Reds on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town during the summer but has yet to make his competitive Barnsley debut after being sidelined.
Head coach Daniel Stendel has now given an encouraging update on the 23-year-old's recovery, saying Slicker is on a good path and could be back in around two weeks.
His return would provide Barnsley with another option between the posts as the Reds head into the next stage of their League One campaign.
Slicker spent last season on loan at Barnet, where he gained extensive first-team experience before making the move to Oakwell.
Barnsley will continue to monitor his progress in training before deciding when he is ready to be included in a competitive matchday squad.
