Barnsley Youth Choir's success celebrated in national arts Q&A

Barnsley Youth Choir has been the subject of a question-and-answer feature with Mat Wright, published by the arts website theartsdesk.

The piece reflects on a performance the choir gave at the Association of British Choral Directors convention in York, where around 70 young singers performed a programme spanning Tallis, gospel and traditional South African music.

The writer describes being moved by the performance, saying the choir sang with passion and skill, and notes the group's roots in Barnsley.

The Q&A with Mat Wright discusses the choir's success and its work with young people in the town.
