Young people using Barnsley's MiCard free bus travel scheme can have their cards withdrawn if they misuse the scheme or become involved in anti-social behaviour.
The conditions attached to MiCards allow access to free travel to be removed where scheme rules are broken.
The issue has attracted renewed attention following concerns about disorder around Barnsley Interchange.
Barnsley Council has previously worked with police and transport partners to increase patrols and security around the interchange, which is used by thousands of young people and other passengers every week.
