There's a brand-new place to see art in Barnsley town centre.
A new gallery space has opened at DMC 01, the Digital Media Centre, on County Way.
Its first exhibition is called "meanwhile..." and it features work from four Barnsley-based artists: Ailish Treanor, John Ledger, Kelly Rankin and Mark Evans.
During the summer, the artists were given temporary studio space in an empty office on Regent Street where they could experiment, develop ideas and create new work. That work has now been brought together for the exhibition.
The new gallery is being piloted as a space where emerging and mid-career artists can exhibit work and test new ideas.
Entry is free. It's open from 9am to 4pm on weekdays until 2 November.
So if you work in town or fancy something different during the day, there's another free cultural space to explore.
