A community campaign to buy the former Trinity Methodist Church in Woodhouse, Sheffield, has reached its £100,000 fundraising target. Woodhouse and District Community Forum hopes to acquire the building, which has stood empty for around 15 years, and eventually develop it into a community and theatre space. The overall purchase price is reported to be £125,000, with the building's current owner pledging £25,000 towards the deal. Further surveys, permissions and funding would still be needed before the wider redevelopment could go ahead.
