Three people are standing trial accused of murdering 45-year-old Liam Green after he was struck by a car in Cudworth on 3 April.
Sheffield Crown Court has heard prosecutors allege that Mark Wigley, Sarah Wigley and Neil Shaw sought Mr Green out following a dispute connected to his offer to cut grass for £7.50.
The prosecution alleges the defendants intended to cause Mr Green at least really serious harm.
All three deny murder and the trial continues.
