Dearne & District came out on top in the Barnsley borough derby with a convincing 5-1 victory over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.
Jamie Austin was the standout performer for Dearne as he completed a hat-trick, while Luke Skelton and Curtis Wilkinson also got their names on the scoresheet.
Keelan Grist scored Worsbrough Bridge's goal, but the hosts were unable to stop a Dearne side enjoying a strong start to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division campaign.
The victory left Dearne three points clear at the top of the table at the end of the midweek programme.
For Worsbrough Bridge, the result brought a difficult night in the local derby as both clubs prepared to continue their league campaigns.
