Reds beaten at Stockport as Wootton double turns the game

Barnsley made the trip to Edgeley Park to face Stockport County in League One and came away with nothing after a 3-1 defeat.

The Reds went in front, but Stockport hit back after the break, with Kyle Wootton scoring twice in the second half to turn the match around and put the home side in front.

County added a third goal as the game wore on, leaving Barnsley to reflect on a lead that slipped away on the road.

It's a result that will sting for the travelling Reds, who had the better of the early exchanges before Stockport's second-half response.
