A couple have been billed almost £2,000 after a Barnsley Council-led prosecution over dog faeces in their garden, following months of complaints from neighbours.
The case relates to a property in Thurnscoe, where the council brought proceedings after the complaints. The couple had previously been told by a court to clear up the dog faeces from the garden.
Barnsley Council has secured prosecutions of three enviro-crime defendants in relation to waste offences at houses in Thurnscoe. Georgia Brown, aged 27, of High Street, Thurnscoe, and Martin Brown are among those named by the council in connection with the prosecutions.
The council says the prosecutions were brought as part of its work tackling enviro-crime in the borough.
