A neighbourhood officer covering Wombwell and Darfield has become the new owner of collar number 2211, and met the former South Yorkshire officer who wore the same number during his service.
Neighbourhood PC Kyle Rance, who works in Wombwell and Darfield in Barnsley, is the new owner of collar number 2211.
He recently had the privilege of meeting the ex-South Yorkshire police officer who wore the same number during his service, Maurice.
South Yorkshire Police shared the news on its official Facebook page, marking the passing of collar number 2211 from one officer to another.
