Hemingfield volunteers take to the streets to tackle speeding

Community volunteers in Hemingfield are taking to the streets as part of a new initiative aimed at tackling speeding and making local roads safer.

The Hemingfield Action Group is launching a Community Speed Watch scheme, with volunteers giving their time to help address concerns about speeding vehicles in the area.

The scheme is being supported by Barnsley Council, which says the volunteers are stepping up to make their local roads safer.
